This privacy policy describes how the personal data of visitors to the PipeIt website (https://pipeit-plugin.com) is collected and processed, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act.
The site presents a paid plugin for Unreal Engine 5.4 to 5.7, together with an interactive demo editor that runs entirely in the browser. The only personal data the site collects is gathered through the “Be Notified” (waitlist) form. The site has no user account, no payment and no comment system.

2. Data collected
The following data may be processed:
- Email address: provided voluntarily by you when you sign up to the waitlist / newsletter through the “Be Notified” form.
- Acquisition-source tag: a technical identifier indicating where your sign-up came from (
web,unrealfestorlinkedin). This tag reveals nothing other than the channel through which you joined us. - Technical and connection data (IP address, server logs): processed by our host for the security and proper operation of the site. This data is not used to identify you individually for commercial purposes.
No other personal data is collected. The site does not create a user account and does not process any payment data.
The in-browser demo editor may keep functional state in the local storage of your own device; this data contains no personal data and is never transmitted to our servers.
3. Purposes
Your data is processed for the following purposes:
- Keeping you informed of the product launch and product updates (newsletter / waitlist), at the email address you provided.
- Operating and securing the site: ensuring it works properly, preventing abuse, detecting and blocking malicious activity (technical and connection data).
4. Legal basis
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): sending the newsletter and product updates relies on your consent, freely and explicitly given by submitting the sign-up form. You may withdraw this consent at any time (see section 7).
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): processing technical and connection data for security and proper operation relies on our legitimate interest in protecting and maintaining the service.
5. Recipients / processors
Your data is not sold. It is shared with the following service providers (processors), acting on our behalf:
- EmailOctopus — newsletter and waitlist management. Your email address and source tag are stored with EmailOctopus (a company established in the United Kingdom). Website: https://emailoctopus.com
- Cloudflare — site hosting, delivery and security. Cloudflare, Inc. is established in the United States (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA — https://www.cloudflare.com).
Because we use these providers, some data may be processed outside the European Union. Appropriate safeguards govern these transfers: the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the United Kingdom in the case of EmailOctopus, and, for transfers to the United States, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable (to be confirmed by the publisher).
6. Retention period
- Email address and source tag: kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, or until 3 years after the last contact, after which they are deleted.
- Technical data and connection logs: kept by the host for a short period for security purposes, namely 6 months.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data:
- right of access;
- right to rectification;
- right to erasure (right to be forgotten);
- right to restriction of processing;
- right to data portability;
- right to object to processing;
- right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
One-click unsubscribe: every email we send you contains an unsubscribe link. A single click is enough to withdraw your consent and stop receiving our communications.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration, including encryption of communications (HTTPS) and the use of reputable providers for hosting and newsletter management.
