1. Purpose
These terms of use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions governing access to and use of the website available at https://pipeit-plugin.com (the “Site”), together with the in-browser demonstration and editor (the “Demo”).
The Site presents PipeIt, a plugin for Unreal Engine 5.4 to 5.7 that draws pipe networks inside the editor. These Terms govern only the use of the Site and the Demo. They do not govern the PipeIt plugin itself, which is a separate, paid product subject to its own licence accepted at the point of sale.
2. Acceptance
Accessing and using the Site means that the user fully accepts these Terms. If the user does not accept all or part of these Terms, the user must refrain from using the Site.
The publisher of the Site reserves the right to amend these Terms under the conditions set out in section 10.
3. Access to the Site
Access to the Site and the Demo is open and free of charge. The user is solely responsible for putting in place the technical means (hardware, internet connection, browser) required to access the Site.
The Site is published as part of a pre-release phase. It is provided “as is”, without any guarantee of availability, continuity or freedom from error. The publisher may, at any time and without notice, change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Site, in particular for maintenance, updating or technical reasons.
The Demo is made available for the purpose of evaluating and discovering the features. It is not intended to serve as a production tool and may differ from the commercial plugin.
4. Intellectual property
The Site, its structure, its contents (text, images, illustrations, videos, graphic elements, the Demo and its underlying code), as well as the “PipeIt” name and the associated branding, are protected by intellectual property law and remain the exclusive property of the publisher or its partners.
“Unreal Engine” is a trademark of Epic Games, Inc. PipeIt is an independent plugin; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Epic Games, Inc. Other trademarks and trade names mentioned on the Site belong to their respective owners.
Accessing the Site grants the user no licence or intellectual property right over the contents of the Site. Any reproduction, representation, modification, extraction or use, in whole or in part, of the contents of the Site, by any means whatsoever, without the prior written consent of the publisher, is prohibited and constitutes infringement.
5. User conduct
The user undertakes to use the Site in accordance with its intended purpose, the law and these Terms. In particular, the user must not:
- divert the Site or the Demo from their intended purpose;
- carry out any automated or mass extraction of data (scraping, harvesting, unauthorised indexing);
- attempt to disrupt, overload or impair the operation of the Site (in particular by introducing malicious software or by any attack);
- attempt to circumvent, decompile or reverse-engineer all or part of the Site or the Demo;
- use the Site in any way that is contrary to the law, public order or the rights of third parties.
6. Waitlist
The Site provides a form allowing the user to join a waitlist in order to be notified of the launch of PipeIt. Joining the waitlist relies on the user voluntarily providing an email address.
The processing of the data collected in this context is governed by the Privacy policy. The user can reach the sign-up section at /#notify.
7. Liability
The Site and the Demo are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The publisher does not warrant that the Site will be error-free, nor that its operation will be uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Site, nor for content accessible via external links. The user uses the Site at their own sole and entire risk.
Nothing in these Terms operates to exclude or limit the publisher’s liability where such exclusion or limitation would be prohibited by law.
8. Hypertext links
The Site may contain hypertext links pointing to third-party sites. These sites are independent of the publisher, which exercises no control over their content, availability or practices. The publisher cannot be held liable for the content, products or services accessible through these links. Following such a link is the sole responsibility of the user.
9. Personal data and cookies
The processing of personal data collected through the Site is described in the Privacy policy.
The use of cookies and tracers is described in the Cookie policy.
10. Amendments to the Terms
The publisher reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time, in particular to adapt them to changes in the Site or in applicable law. The applicable version is the one in force and accessible on the Site at the time the user connects. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this document. Users are advised to review the Terms regularly.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute relating to their validity, interpretation or performance, and failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have jurisdiction.
