Kits
The pipe kits that ship with PipeIt — Industrial Gas, Sci-Fi, and PVC.
A kit is a library of matching pipe pieces — straights, corners, tees, crosses, caps, and brackets — built to snap together. PipeIt picks the right piece automatically as you draw, and you can cycle through variants of any piece with a single shortcut.
PipeIt ships with three kits today, and you can mix pieces from different kits in the same scene without reloading.
Included kits
Industrial Gas
Heavy-duty plant and refinery piping: flanged junctions, valves, and thick straights. Pipe and line meshes stretch their textures cleanly across any run length, so long spans never look tiled.
- Internal id:
PI_IndustrialGasPipes - Best for: factories, refineries, industrial exteriors
Sci-Fi
Sleek paneled conduit for ships, stations, and futuristic interiors. Clean seams and crisp corners.
- Internal id:
PI_SciFi_Pipes - Best for: spaceships, sci-fi corridors, tech environments
PVC
Lightweight plastic plumbing: smooth white/grey runs with rounded fittings.
- Internal id:
PI_Kit_PVC - Best for: residential plumbing, drainage, prop set dressing
Working with kits
- Pick a kit per run. Each pipe network can use its own kit, and multiple kits can coexist in one scene.
- Cycle variants. Any piece can have several visual variants; cycle them in place and PipeIt only offers variants that actually fit the junction.
- Mix freely. Drop in pipes of any kit alongside existing runs — no reload required.
Bring your own kit
PipeIt is data-driven: kits are authored from standard Unreal static meshes with socket markers, so you can build kits that match your project’s art.
See them live
The in-browser editor ships with all three kits. Use the scene palette to drag in pipes of any kit and compare them side by side.
